Grand Oaks Elementary – Tomball ISD

This new 117,000 SF elementary will serve over 900 students in the Tomball area. Baker was proud to work with ZCA and Gilbane to help design and eventually build the school's key interior feature: a fully custom wood ceiling to mimic the look and feel of a growing tree. The Baker team help design the cloud layouts and the wood types selected to create this one-of-a-kind design feature. We utilized over 700 LF of our own QuikShapes™ cuts to create the sheetrock shapes outlining the clouds. This helped save time and money, eliminated the need for trims, and minimized dust and waste in the field.
