President of Dallas
As the President of the Dallas division, Preston’s focus is a passion for people, both internally and externally. In his ten years with Baker he has helped create lasting relationships with vendors, clients, and employees alike, and has focused on the importance and value of personal growth and development.
Preston has had a strong role in The TEXO Association, DFW’s arm for both Associated General Contractors (AGC) and Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). He served on the Education Foundation Board of TEXO from 2012 – 2016 and served as the Young Constructors Council Chair in 2018, which served 280 of DFW’s young professionals to help program growth, networking, leadership development, and political involvement. He currently serves as a founding member of the TEXO EDP (Executive Development Partners) group which is working to create an avenue for development of individuals that are stepping in to leadership roles in the industry. As a more extra curricular activity, in 2021 he founded and runs the Builders Bourbon Society, which has over 350 active industry members and meets monthly with a goal of connecting people in the AEC industry to build relationships and share experiences over themed private events throughout the metroplex.
Preston has been married ten years to his wife, Melissa, and most recently welcomed a son, Peyton, into the family.
In his off time, Preston enjoys vacationing with his wife to new destinations that he doesn’t have a say in, hunting the Texas hill country from a bow stand, fishing the calm lakes that can be found in the east Texas pines, golfing when Texas has it’s rare days under 100 degrees, and has a small reputation for being a pronounced bourbon hunter.
