Doug Karr

As Vice President of Business Development, Doug focuses on building and strengthening relationships within all of Baker’s Texas markets, working with preconstruction and operations teams across all scopes of services, including Drywall & Acoustical, Plaster/EIFS, Metal Panels, Window Treatments, and Prefabrication.

Doug is a 2^nd Generation Aggie, graduating from Texas A&M in 2006 with a BS in Construction Science. After graduation, Doug began working in the North Texas construction market as a General Contractor for Turner Construction, starting as a field superintendent in the K-12 market segment. Doug would go on to complete 16 years with Turner, leading all sales and marketing for North Texas and Oklahoma before moving to Baker Triangle in December of 2022.

Doug is active in several organizations, including The TEXO Association, where he served on the Education Foundation Board from 2018-2022, the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Education & Workforce Council, DBIA, and AIA Dallas.

Doug has been married to his wife, Lyndsey, for over 10 years, and together they have 3 sons Brendan, Harrison, and Shepherd. Outside of work, Doug enjoys spending time with his family and farm animals on the Karr Ranch, located in Poetry, Texas.
