Perot Museum Wins Eagle Award

We knew going into it that the Perot Museum of Nature and Science was IMG_3005going to be a one-of-a-kind project for BakerTriangle. The lobby featured 40,800 square feet of wire ceiling, 10,200 panels, 12,000 clips and hanger rods, a wire ceiling that had never been produced before, let alone installed. “We just had an image in our minds and we had a model”, stated Morphosis architect Arne Emerson. The museum also featured an incredible theater ceiling and beautiful veneer plaster installations. With the architect’s image, and some incomplete plans, BakerTriangle was able to partner with Balfour Beatty Construction and complete the award-winning museum. This project was awarded the Associated Builders and Contractors Excellence in Construction Eagle Award for Interior Finish, the top award given nationally. The BT team for Perot included, Johnny Barnes – President, Jim Hatch – Estimator, Kyle Caviness – Project Manager, James Sockwell – Safety Manager, Pablo Reyna – Project Superintendent, Miguel Gonzales – Drywall Foreman and Scott Lewis – Plaster Foreman.
